When I commented on one of strips I simply let her know that it really wasn't necessary to label EVERYTHING in the background, it insults a reader's intelligence and crowds up the panel. I did tell her that it was good so far, I think I was on like pt 10 or something. Well I get a message back from her and instead of taking the criticism in stride she decided to let me know she didn't like me. Why? I honestly think its cause no one has ever spoke out and criticized her work. She is just used to usual dA comment of "OMG SO KAWAII!" or "Oh I love this!" what she fails to realize is that it is FAR more easy to say you like something than actually critique the piece. So I said I'm sorry that she couldn't handle the constructive criticism, but that she should ALWAYS prepare for criticism when it comes to asking others to view her work and then asking them what they think.
I had planned on doing a fan art for her because I thought the concept as a whole was "cute", and I told her this (this was also a test to see if she was one of those sub-par artists who liked to fish for free art of their characters by other artists). She retorted with '
I said that was okay cause I realize not everyone is going to like my art or my style. And I informed her in a polite manner that if she couldn't handle criticism that she shouldn't ask other people for their opinions and that she shouldn't post her work up because she can't deal with criticism.
Her last reply was "Well... not everyone is as stupid as you.... now plz go kill yourself k? thnx!"
Okay I'd been nice to her the whole time, but I never told her the full story of what I really thought. Unfortunately the little bitch blocked me before I could lay into her.
All I have to say is that if you can't handle criticism of ANY kind. Don't post your work in public areas and just stop being an artist all together. Criticism is everywhere and if you can't handle it, find something else to do with your time.
Well I'm late for class, cya.

thank you for the fave!
